Moore, Charles Allan ?Buzz?, died peacefully, Wednesday September 17, 2003 at his home in St. Petersburg, Florida at the age of 66. He is survived by sons, Kevin of Brooklyn Park, NY, Anthony of Lakeville, MN, Patrick of Roseville, MN and Brian of Toledo, OH; a daughter, Marcella of Coon Rapids, MN; four grandchildren and special friend Rosemary B. Tyler of St. Petersburg. Charles was born November 6, 1936 in Springfield, Illinois, the second and youngest child of Allan and Nellouise Moore. He earned the name ?Buzz? for his energy and exuberance as a young child. Buzz moved to Minneapolis with his parents in 1947, and he attended the Blake Schools and graduated from Washburn High School. Buzz attended Ripon College and the University of Minnesota and served in the armed forces, stationed in West Germany. Buzz loved to travel and found he could mix business with travel when he became a travel agent. He owned and operated the House of Travel, Inc. in the Uptown area for over 30 years. He was active in the SKAL Club, Sons of Norway, Lions Club, and also served on the Bloomington Planning Commission during the 1960?s and 1970?s. He participated in the Uptown Business Association and was involved in the creation and growth of the Uptown Art Fair. Buzz was active in the American Society of Travel Agents ASTA for many years, serving as a national officer until his retirement. Services will be held at a later date in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
