July 4th, 1925 - November 29th, 2005
Chassereau, John Lee, 80, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday, November 29, 2005. Born in Walterboro, South Carolina, he came here in 1963 from Elizabeth City, North Carolina. He was a Vietnam veteran and a retired U. S. Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer serving for 20 years. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, St. Petersburg. He was a member of the St. Petersburg Chapter of Coast Guard C.P.O.A. and National Gold Life Time member, Chairman of the Blackthorn Memorial Committee, member of the Fleet Reserve Association and Elk Lodge. He was also a life member of Hammerton Lodge #332 A.F.M., Tampa Consistory, Egypt Shrine Temple. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Winifred T. ?Winnie?, two sons, John Lee Chassereau, Jr. and Ray Chassereau, both of St. Petersburg, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
