Harrell, Roy Garland, Jr., 61, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday, January 25, 2006 while skiing in Aspen, Colorado. Born in Norfolk, Virginia he came here during his high school years from Jacksonville, Florida, graduating from Boca Ciega High School. He graduated with honors, with a bachelor?s degree in 1966 from the Citadel and received his law degree cum laude in 1969 from Washington and Lee University School of Law. He was a Captain in the Army from 1969-1971. He was an Attorney and Partner with Holland & Knight Law Firm, St. Petersburg. He was a Guardian Ad Litem. He is survived by his wife, Virginia ?Ginny? S.; a daughter, Stacey L. Springsteen, St. Petersburg; a son, Michael T. Harrell, St. Petersburg; three grandchildren, Maxwell Forrest Springsteen, Cooper Garland Springsteen and Stephanie Harrell. There will be a gathering of family and friends Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Anderson-McQueen Funeral & Cremation Centers, 2201 Dr. M.L.K. St. N., St. Petersburg. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas? Episcopal Church, 1200 Snell Isle Blvd. N.E., St. Petersburg. Memorials in his name to the Suncoast Voices for Children, Inc., 14250 49th Street North, Suite 4000, Clearwater, FL 33762.
