Zeta G. Bobbitt
February 21st, 1931 - April 15th, 2006
Bobbitt, Zeta G., 75, of St. Petersburg and Sapphire, NC, died Saturday, April 15th, 2006 at her daughter?s home. She was a St. Petersburg native and was a third generation descendant of early Pinellas settler John Francis Girard. She was a graduate of St. Petersburg High School, St. Petersburg Jr. College and the Mound Park Hospital Nursing School. She was the former Co-Owner with her late husband, J. Fred Bobbitt of the Bobbitt Funeral Chapel. She was a lifetime member of All Children?s Hospital Guild, serving on the Board and many fundraisers. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Suncoast Opera Guild, Stuart Society, Museum of Fine Arts, Florida Orchestra Guild, Questers, St. Petersburg Women?s Chamber of Commerce, Infinity, Boley Angels and the St. Petersburg Yacht Club. She was honored as Princess in the Queen?s Court for the American Heart Association and the Women?s Service League?s Best Groomed Hall of Fame. She enjoyed playing Bridge for many years. She is survived by 3 daughters, Karla B. and Mike Harrell of Green Cove Springs, FL, Kimberly B. Adams of Largo, and Kerry B. and Steve Mathieson of Seminole; and 5 grandchildren, Katie, Kelly and Bennett Harrell, Jonathan James Adams, and Brian Frederick Mathieson.
