Caverly, Addiemae Massie, 90, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday, June 22, 2006 at Bon Secours Maria Manor Nursing Home. She was a born in Lakeland, FL and retired after many years as a Teller for First National Bank in St. Petersburg. She was a Jehovah Witness. Her mother, Mrs. Ethel Moody Massie, came from an old Georgia family originally which moved about the turn of the 20th century to central Florida-Lakeland in Polk County. Ethel Moody?s grandfather fought for the Confederacy in the Civil War. He joined the Georgia Volunteers at the age of 16. He was wounded by a Yankee sharpshooter in 1862 and was eventually sent home to Hazelhurst, GA. His great-grandfather fought the British in the Revolutionary War. His widow was given a large piece of creek land in Georgia after his death. There have been at least two judges in the family as well as University professors. Also a well known American artist-Franklin Moody was Addiemae?s first cousin. The passing of Mrs. Caverly is mourned by many relatives and friends who loved her deeply. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Dr. Fred Caverly. She is survived by thirteen cousins: Eleanor Massie Montague, John Montague, and David Massie Montague, all of Tampa; Barbara Gil, Sarasota, FL; Eugene Massie, Hopkinsville, KY; George Carr, Sandy Bryant and Pat Williams, all of Lakeland, FL; Franklin Moody, Sedona, AZ; Jackie Wilson, Seminole, FL; Mike Massie, Panama City, FL; David Massie, Ft.
