Allen, Mary L. ?Mary Lou,? 82, of St. Petersburg, FL died June 27, 2006. Born in Geneseo, NY, she moved to St. Petersburg in 1971 from Rochester, NY, and had a summer home in Honeoye Lake. She was a homemaker and a very vital member of St. Peter?s Episcopal Cathedral, having served as head of the St. Agnes Guild and member of the Sewing Guild. She also volunteered as head of the Church Library Committee and served on the Coordinating Board of ECW Episcopal Church Women. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert T. Allen and brother, William Thompson. Survivors include three sons: Edwin J. Allen and William M. Allen, both of Rochester, NY; and John T. Allen, St. Petersburg; a brother, Samuel Thompson, Zephyrhills, FL; and three grandchildren: Meredith, Sarah and Luke Allen, all of Rochester, NY. Anderson-McQueen Funeral & Cremation Centers.
