Loretta V. Schuh

Schuh, Loretta V. ?Laurie?, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday June 7, 2007 at Apollo Health and Rehab. Born in Rochester, NY she moved to St. Petersburg in 1966 via way of Tampa from Coconut Grove, Miami. She was a Commercial Illustrator with Pan American World Airways for many years in Miami. She graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology majoring in Commercial and Fine Arts. She also took special courses at the John Ringling School of Art in Sarasota. In the1960?s she taught Art to children in the Philippines and Burma where she was living and working with her husband. She was Presbyterian. An avid animal admirer she enjoyed sketching her friends pets. During the last days of the war she served as Jr. Red Cross Hostess at the Coral Gables Biltmore Hotel, acquired by the government as a Military Hospital. She helped entertain sick soldiers in their recuperation. Survivors include many cousins, nieces and nephews. Anderson-McQueen Funeral & Cremation Centers ? N.E. St. Petersburg.
