Agnes Mary Fitzgerald
February 28th, 1907 - November 20th, 2007
Fitzgerald, Agnes, 100, died Tuesday, November 20, 2007, at her daughter?s home under the care of Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. Born in Brooklyn in 1907, she taught there until her marriage to Joseph Fitzgerald. In 1950, the Fitzgeralds moved to Port Washington, Long Island where she lived until 5 years ago when she moved to the Princess Martha in St. Petersburg, FL. In addition to raising 4 children and caring for her parents, she found the love and time to devote to those who needed care. For more than 40 years, she volunteered her time and talent to the cause of retarded citizens through the Port Washington Auxiliary of AHRC. Throughout her long life, she enjoyed music and particularly, playing the piano. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edmund Fitzgerald, and son, John Fitzgerald. She is survived by her son, Robert Joseph Fitzgerald of Jacksonville, FL; daughters: Ann Therese Mullin of Eleuthera, Bahamas, and Kathleen Marie Fitzgerald of Plainview, NY; 6 grandchildren: Kathleen Mullin and Aileen Mullin of St. Petersburg, FL, Arthur Joseph Mullin of Windham, NH, Paul Lawrence Mullin of Falls Village, CT, Joseph Hugh Fitzgerald of Wheatley Heights, NY, and Timothy Fitzgerald of Ft. Greely, Alaska; 8 great-grandchildren: Katherine, Colin, Alicia, Seamus, Thomas, and Liam Mullin, Robert S. Forman III, and Ashling Lupiani; and numerous nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday, November 22, 2007 from 3 ? 6PM at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. MLK Jr. St. N, St. Petersburg. A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, November 23, 2007 at 10:30 at St. Paul?s Catholic Church, 1800-12th Street North, St. Petersburg. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, November 26, 2007 at Nassau Knolls Cemetery, Port Washington, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Association for the Help of Retarded Citizens, 189 Wheatley Road, Brookville, NY 11545.
