William John Mason
February 22nd, 1950 - July 30th, 2015
Mason, William John Sr., age 65 of Saint Petersburg, Florida passed away on July 30, 2015 at Northside Hospital surrounded by his loving family. William was born in Saratoga Springs, New York on February 22, 1950 to the late Walter Edward Mason and the late Anna Shanks. William married Janice Taylor on August 18, 1978 and together they had three children. Bill won #1 Dad in a Father's Day Contest for the Buccaneers. He enjoyed wood working in his spare time, along with working on cars. Bill admired Southwestern designs, Native American imagery and was a lover of all John Wayne movies, as well as other classic westerns. Williams favorite song was "Pop-A-Top" by Alan Jackson. William is survived by his loving wife Janice of 37 years; his son, William John Joseph Mason Jr.; two daughters, Anna Marie Mason and Sarah Ann Mason; three sisters, Gloria Ramsey, Mary Dubois and Anna Rhodes; is predeceased by his sisters, Virginia Lewis, Pamela Sharp, Janette Crawford and Elizabeth (Betty) Haskell. William is also survived by several nieces and nephews. There will be a Memorial Service at Anderson-McQueen Family Tribute Center Tyrone Chapel on Friday August 7th, 4-8pm.
