David Beard, 69, of St. Petersburg, Florida, died Tuesday, August 18, 2009. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and moved to St. Petersburg in 2009 from Anna Maria Island, Florida. He was a Graduate of Kansas University with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and formerly worked at the St. Petersburg Times. He was an artist and writer. He is survived by Laura the mother of his five children, Alyssum, Star, Oceanna, Allamanda, and Sky; three sisters, Rozanne, Andrea, and Joyce; and a grandson, Seth. Visitation 2-4 PM Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009 at E.
