Virginia Russell Gildrie, 90, of St. Petersburg, FL, died Saturday, February 5, 2011. She was born in Newport, RI and moved to St. Petersburg in 1959 from Norfolk, VA. She was a retired bookkeeper and a past president and tutor of the Literacy Council of St. Petersburg and was a former member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. She was a member of Good Samaritan Church Pinellas Park, FL. She is survived by 2 sons, Richard P. (Meredith) Gildrie of Clarksville, TN, Charles A. (Pamela) Gildrie of Maryville, TN; 5 grand children, and 5 great grand children. A memorial service will be 2 PM Sat. June 18, 2011 at Good Samaritan Church.
