Charles W. Hackett, was born April 22, 1906 in Ashby, Massachusetts. He would have been 101 this year. He and his first wife, Mary, had seven children; Dick, Paul, Dorothy, Jimmy, Bobby, Ann, and Billy, also numerous grandchildren. He was a painter, building contractor. He loved to restore old furniture, make something new, or just paint odds and ends. He moved to Sanford, Florida in 1952 before moving to St. Petersburg, FL. He was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God, St. Petersburg where he was active in church work which is where he met and married his late wife, Vivian Carroll Hackett on April 20, 1974. They had been married for 32 years. He has five loving stepchildren; Elton, Wilton, and Milton Whitehead; Faye Cox and Kaye White. He also has numerous step-grand, and step-great-grandchildren.
