Elizabeth Preston McCoy
September 20th, 1910 - February 25th, 2008
McCoy, Elizabeth Preston, 97, of Pinellas Park, died Monday, February 25th, 2008 at Edward White Hospital in St. Petersburg. She was born in Brooklyn, NY where she was a graduate of Erasmus High School and studied acting. She was an office manager in Brooklyn for 5 years before moving to Ridgewood, NJ in 1950. She was very active as an actress in the community theaters in Ridgewood for many years and she was also a volunteer in the hospitals there. She moved to Sun City, AZ in 1974 and became a member of Church of the Palms, where she was a frequent Reader and a Deacon. She loved playing bridge and was very good at it. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Virginia Harrison McCoy; and 2 grandchildren, Michele Leigh McCoy and Michael Scott McCoy. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Gordon Edward McCoy and her sister, Joan Preston Bauer. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 8th, 2008 at Church of the Palms, 14808 North Boswell Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85351. The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to the Lance Armstrong Cancer Foundation, National Mail Processing Center, P.O. Box 6003, Albert Lea, MN 56007-6603.
