Fred H. Kenfield, 93, husband of Sara Key Kenfield, whom he married 59 years ago and with whom he founded Kenfield Funeral Home, died October 15, 2014 at home. Surviving also are two daughters, Julie Kenfield (Guy Clumpner) of San Antonio, TX, Joyce (Dr. Rev. E. Chris) Curvin of Palm Harbor; a brother, Jim Kenfield of Elizabeth, CO; a brother-in-law, Richard G. Key of St. Petersburg; grandsons, Ian Clumpner, Graham Clumpner, William Curvin, Benjamin Curvin; seven nieces and one nephew. EDUCATION and PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE: Graduate of Dade City schools; University Of Minnesota (Mortuary Science); University Of Tampa (Business); Served in the U.S. Navy during WWII; U.S. Naval Pharmacist Mate in Aviation Medicine; Superintendent of Halawa Naval Cemetery where Pearl Harbor dead were buried 1945-46; Fred Kenfield Funeral Home, owner, funeral director, where they were the first funeral firm to itemize funeral charges. MEMBERSHIPS: Sunshine City Kiwanis Club; Kiwanian since 1958. Friends may visit with the family 5:00 - 7:00 PM Friday, October 24, 2014 at E. Dale Gunter Funeral Home 4100 - 16th Street North, St. Petersburg. Traditional Episcopal services (1928 BCP) will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 25, 2014 at St. Philip's Anglican Church, in Pinellas Park with the Rev. John H. Poole of St. Philip's Anglican Church, Dr. Rev. E. Chris Curvin of Northwood Presbyterian Church, and the Rev. John Riggle officiating.
