George Joseph Lestinsky, 79, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Torrington, CT and moved to St. Petersburg in 1974 from Groton, CT. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer from the U.S. Navy after 27 years serving during the Korean and Viet Nam Wars. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret V.; 2 daughters, Deborah Burge of Groton, CT, Donna Boyce of Greeneville, TN; 2 sons, Dennis Lestinsky of Kenneth City, FL, Donald Lestinsky of Beverly Hills, FL; 3 grandchildren, Tracy O'Brien, Jason Lestinsky, Travis Lestinsky; and 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Albert & Mary Lestinsky; brother & sister-in-law, Joe & Fran Lestinsky; nephew, Phillip Lestinsky and granddaughter, Melissa Lestinsky.
