Robert E. Raggett, 62, of Tierra Verde, Florida, died Thursday, March 8th, 2007 in the emergency room at Palms of Pasadena Hospital, South Pasadena, Florida. He was born in New York City and moved to Tierra Verde in 1987 from Long Island, New York. He was a former detective with the New York City Police Department for 15 years, was a member of the Fraternal Order Of Police, and currently was the Central Regional Director in the Department Of Juvenile Justice for the State of Florida. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joan; two sons, Robert J. Raggett of Long Island; Christopher J. Raggett of Mebane, North Carolina; one daughter, Michele Raggett of Tierra Verde; two sisters, Alice Casey of Pearl River, New York, Eileen Boyle of Bronx, New York; and four grandchildren, Megan, Jacob, Casey, and Emmett Raggett.
