James Albert Van Koevering, 94, of Largo, Florida, died Saturday, February 7, 2009. He moved to Florida in 1952 from his native Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was a musician and the founder of the Van Koevering Bell Ringers and played many instruments. He had stated that he was the oldest professional mouth organ player starting when he was 10 and still performed at fairs in his 90's. He is survived by his wife, Myrtle L.; 2 sons, James M. of St. Petersburg, David H. of Cleveland, TN; 2 daughters, Coral L. Christiansen of Omaha, NE, Barbara J. Smith of St. Petersburg; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. $(document).ready(function(){ });
