Wojcik, Fran, 79, of St. Petersburg, FL, died Thursday, May 30, 2002 at V.A. Medical Center Bay Pines. She was born in Grayson, Missouri and came here in 1972 from Rockford, IL, where she was formerly Secretary and Treasurer of Wojcik Construction Co. and was a member of the Home Builder's Association, General Contractor's Association, Rockford Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Zonta International, Winnebago County Republican Club, League of Women Voters, and various other organizations. In 1971 she was a Excalibur Award Nominee and Aldermanic candidate. She attended Northeast Missouri State Teachers College in Kirksville, MO. She retired as an administrator in the St. Petersburg Social Security office. She was past historian and treasurer of the Turner Brandon American Legion Post # 7 of Clearwater and was a member of Toastmasters, and Greater Pinellas Point Civic Association, current Senior Vice Commander of the American Legion 20/4 Women's Honor Society, Social Security Alumni Association, Pinellas County Republican Executive Committee where she was Precinct Committeewoman and attendance chairwoman of Precinct 201, Suncoast Republican Women, Federated, where she was the current treasurer and the recipient of the George Hieber Outstanding Republican of the Year 2001. She was also a member of various county Republican clubs. She was an Army Air Corps Veteran of WWII where she attained the rank of Corporal. She was Protestant. She is survived by: one son, Terry and his wife Elizabeth of Raleigh, NC three daughters, Juleah Wojcik of Cocoa Beach Jackie Wojcik of Rockford, IL Jocelyn Kullens and her husband Jeff of Rockford, IL one sister, Beulah "Bea" Beck of Brandon, FL four Grandchildren, Kristin Wojcik of Tampa, FL, Juliana, Jeffrey and Johnathan Kullens all of Rockford, IL. She was pre-deceased by: her parents, Edwin and Leahope Bland of Numa, IO sisters, Norma Crowder of Numa, IO Ruth Inman of Gillette, WY Dorothy Miller of Numa, IO brothers, Edwin Bland of Seymour, IO Jim Bland of California Herb Bland of Malvera, IO The family request memorials to: Bay Pines VAMC 4B Hospice P.O.
