Carter Sr., Dennis M., 64 of St. Petersburg, passed away on August 4, 2015. He was born in St. Petersburg, Florida on October 4, 1950 to the late Boyce C. Carter and the late Marean G. Jones Robbins. Dennis attended Lakewood High School. Following high school he studied at the Ecole de Cuisine La Varenne school in Paris, France where he received his restaurateur degree. Throughout his career he owned several restaurants and bakeries. Dennis was an amazing chef and had a true passion for culinary arts. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Dennis will be deeply missed and remembered always in the hearts of those who loved him. Dennis is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years Peggy Carter; children, Dennis M. Carter, Jr., Angie Liberati, Katy Carter; Grandchildren, Emily Liberati; Dylan Liberati; siblings, Linda (Paul) Hackett, Brenda (Mike) Lagozo, Royce (Kathy) Carter, Connie (Richard) Evans, Sandra Jayne, Larry (Rose) Beeman, Shirley Sopka; father in law, George Scott; sister in law, Kathy (Ralph) Hancock; many extended family members, and friends. The family will receive friends for a memorial gathering on Saturday, August 15, 2015 from 12:30-1:00 P.M., at Anderson McQueen Family Tribute Center, 2201 Dr. MLK Jr. Street North, St. Petersburg, FL 33704. The Celebration of Life will begin in the Chapel at 1:00 P.M.
