Nathaniel "Nate" Lewis Wilkins
April 16th, 1992 - April 22nd, 2012
Wilkins, Nathaniel Lewis, 20, of Indian Shores, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012. Born in Denver, CO, He came here in 2002. He graduated from Admiral Farragut Academy and was attending The University of South Florida in Tampa. He studied Buddhism and practiced through a life of loving kindness as he was a deeply spiritual young man. He had a passion for cars, had enormous love for family, friends, and all things honest and spiritual. He is survived by his parents Dr. Robert T. Wilkins (Allison) and Catherine Lewis (Richard Downs); step-siblings Elizabeth Galbraith (Daniel), Jeffrey Perlow, Rick Downs (Erin), Jennifer Zachman, Matt Downs (Lynn), Elizabeth Dauwalter (Mike), Anthony Downs, Lucas Downs (Kristie), Alex Downs; and their 13 children. There will be a gathering of friends and family on Thursday April 26, 2012 from 4pm until 6pm at the funeral home with a funeral service on Friday April 27, 2012 at 3:30pm at First Presbyterian Church, 701 Beach Dr. NE, St. Petersburg, FL. Nathan was a lover of animals, especially those that are endangered. Contributions are being accepted to honor his memory at the World Wild Life Fund.
