Alan D. Santos, 69, died Wednesday, July 19, 2017, from injuries sustained in a one vehicle accident while driving in the mountains of North Carolina. Alan was born July 30, 1947 in Tampa, Florida and was a lifelong area resident graduating from Hillsborough High School. He worked as an electrical designer and later retired. His love for helping others showed through his volunteer work for the local neighborhood crime watch. As an avid scooter rider, he enjoyed meeting with the St. Petersburg Super Scooter Club or the winding trails on his scooter he named the "White Ghost". He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; daughter, Melissa (Bryan) Santos; son, Christopher Coffee; brother, Mike Santos; 3 grandchildren, Secora, Anna and Owen; cousins…and numerous nieces and nephews. Alan was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Onelia. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home, 7820 38TH Avenue North, St. Petersburg, Florida 33710. The public viewing starts at 1pm with funeral services at 2pm. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.
