Eileen J. Matis-Wong

Henry Miller Eileen J. Matis-Wong, 47, of Olympia, WA passed away on October 3, 2009 due to cancer. Eileen was born November 9, 1961 in Allentown, PA to Joseph Jr. and Celia Matis. She attended Central Catholic High School in Allentown. During her life, Eileen resided in White Rock, BC; Atlanta, GA; Raleigh, NC; Elizabeth, NJ; and Everett, WA; eventually settling in Olympia, WA 18 months ago. On September 2, 2000 Eileen was married to Darren J. Wong on Hornby, Island in British Columbia. Eileen was an artist who worked as a successful Web Designer and Graphic Artist for Red Hat, Inc. When not working Eileen’s passions were photography, poetry and multi media artistry. Surviving Eileen are her husband Darren of Surrey, BC; brother, Joseph J. Matis III of Fairborn, OH; a sister Christine M. Matis Crawford of Souderton, PA; her parents, Joseph J. Matis, Jr. of Slatington, PA and Ceclia T. Matis of Allentown, PA.
