Daryl Gene Spadaccini
February 12th, 1943 - December 29th, 2016
Daryl Gene Spadaccini was born on February 12, 1943 in Bremerton, Washington, the son of Louis and Catherine Spadaccini. He graduated from Seattle University in 1965. He then taught music and English in the Federal Way and Kent schools. Daryl was an extraordinarily fine musician. From his early years, he was in demand as a pianist/organist for weddings, funerals, receptions, and private parties. He composed, arranged, orchestrated, directed, and conducted shows, revues, cabarets, and church choirs. He was the consummate professional, proficient in many musical genres, from opera and classical, to musicals, standards, and countless contemporary styles. Daryl was well-known in the local theatre scene, working for decades with many production companies all around Puget Sound. More recently, he travelled the world, playing for an international cruise line. Daryl had varied and specific tastes. He loved white ironstone, dark chocolate, sterling strawberry forks, and lemon meringue pie. He had a passion for antiques and vintage automobiles. Daryl is survived by his son, Joseph Spadaccini, daughter in law Maria, and grandson Enzo; his sister Diane McCoy (Steve), nephew Tyler (Erin), niece Breanne Johnsen (Kirk), their daughters Teia and Colette; his aunt Rose Cummings; his cousins Pat Gustafson, Renee McMahon, and Cathi Swanson; his former wife Sigrid Endresen. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, in the Parish Center at St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Tacoma, Washington.
