Anthony Peter Lombardo

Anthony “Tony” Lombardo died in his home in Olympia, Washington, on March 1, 2017, of congestive heart failure. He was 86. Tony was born on June 27, 1930, in Brooklyn, New York, to parents Salvatore and Annetta Lombardo. He graduated from St. John’s University in 1952, with a degree in Philosophy, and married Elizabeth Gannon of Brooklyn in that year. After many years working in the clothing industry in Chicago, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Seattle, Tony established Lombardo Enterprises, importing and distributing overseas manufactured products for US Military post and base exchanges across the US. Tony’s greatest joys in life were his wife and ever-expanding family, his love of music, most notably opera, and his penchant for spirited conversation. He is survived by his beloved wife, Betty; six children, James (Marilyn Byrne), Katherine (Fredric Wright), Daniel, Anne Perbix (George Perbix), Thomas (Julie Lombardo), and Jeanne Pritchard (Daniel Pritchard); as well as 13 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
