Bill was born May 17, 1937 in Pendleton, OR to Neil and Margery Doherty . He passed away April 10, 2017 in Tacoma, WA surrounded by his loving family and friends. He is survived by his wife - Dianna; daughter, Tanya Sugarbaker; grandson, Nick Gregory and his wife Danielle; son, Todd Doherty; step-sons, Richard Penfield, Bart Henry, and Michael Ritter; step-daughter, Jeri Lynn Culver; brother, Matt Doherty; sister, Rosemary Peterson; and numerous extended family members and friends. Memorial Service to be held Saturday, May 20, 2017 1:00 pm at Lakeview Chapel, 4606 108th St. SW, Lakewood, WA 98499 with reception to follow. Arrangements by Edwards Memorial Center 253-566-1008.
