Mark Laron Stephens

Mark Stephens, loving husband and father, born July 29, 1955 in Little Rock, Arkansas died at the age of 60 years old on April 24, 2016 at his home in Tacoma, Washington. He is survived by his wife, Joyce and daughter, Narissa as well as many extended family members and friends who loved and cared for him dearly. Mark and Joyce married on August 4, 1979 and ten years later welcomed their daughter Narissa. Mark was a wonderful husband and father and always had a smile on his face. If anyone needed anything he was always willing and ready to help. He was employed for 37 years at Western State Hospital as a cook and prepared meals for many, but at home he enjoyed making breakfast for three. He was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on April 24th, 1974, 42 years exactly to the day he died. Mark had a spiritual routine of regular meeting attendance and engaging in door to door service on Sundays and Mondays. Mark also had the privilege of helping cook at the construction and the remodeling of Kingdom Halls in the Pierce County area. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Alvator Stephens. Mark will be missed, but only for a short period of time, because we will soon see him again. "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more." (Revelation 21:3,4) The Stephens family wishes to thank you all for your love and support.
