Obituary for: Nellie K. Stewart Spellen Nellie K. Stewart Spellen, age 93, of Fort Myers, passed away August 1, 2013 in Fort Myers, FL. She was born Apr. 3, 1920 in Piqua, OH, to the late Clifford and the late Elizabeth (Alexander) Knapp O'Dell. She was preceded in death by her husbands Victor N. Stewart and James P. Spellen. Survived by 2 sons: Michael J. Stewart and James P. Stewart of Overland Park, KS, 3 daughters: Madeline Downie of Cape Coral, FL, Judith L. Nelson of Fort Myers, FL and Elizabeth Stewart of Prairie Village, KS and 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Nellie graduated from Julienne Academy of Dayton, OH and volunteered with The American Red Cross during WWII. She retired from the Jones Store in Prairie Village after 25 years. She enjoyed her later years travelling throughout the world. A celebration of life will be held this fall in Kansas City. Cremation Arrangements by Akin-Davis Funeral Home - Fort Myers, FL
