Kevin Barry Owsley

Kevin was born on July 19, 1966 in Troy, NY; he passed away November 1, 2010 in Lakewood, WA to which he was relocating from Tonasket, WA. He is survived by his young, loving wife of 5 years, Ailene; mother Erika Owsley and stepfather Lee Scholstein of Tonasket; brothers Peter (Laura, Erik, and Alex) of Tonasket and Sean (Katy and Ryan) of Spokane, WA; plus numerous extended family members and friends. Though he earned his Associates Degree in Computers from Clover Park Technical College, throughout his life Kevin had enjoyed numerous vocations including automotive parts, small engine and motorcycle mechanic, computer software developer /support, and information technology. He was an avid outdoorsman and particularly enjoyed anything having to do with water (except rain). He also enjoyed woodcrafting and took great pride in renovating older homes and furnishing them in period décor. Kevin was a member of Manitou Park Presbyterian church and an ordained deacon. He felt very strongly about helping the needy, lost, homeless and sick. His work with the deacon board allowed him to more fully do such good works. He was also an avid animal rights activist. The family wishes to sincerely thank the Lakewood Police Department and Pierce County Search and Rescue teams for their devoted service on Kevin’s behalf. They also want to thank Pastor Kenneth Sikes and Drs. Joan Golston and John Arnold for their continued support and help over the past years. A Memorial Service, a witness to the resurrection, will be held 2pm Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Manitou Park Presbyterian, 6613 S. Cheyenne, Tacoma, WA. The family respectfully requests donations be sent to the church’s Deacon Fund
