Mary Ellen Sparks Mary Ellen Sparks passed away February 7, 2011, in Olympia, WA. She was 84. Mary was born March 3, 1926, in Phoenix, AZ, to Dolph and Maude Kuykendall. She attended the University of Arizona in Tucson, and married Elwood Scott Cage in 1949. Mary spent most of her life in Arizona and California, and the last few months in Washington state. She later married James Tandy Sparks in St. Helena, CA, in 1988. Mary was a psychiatric technician at Napa State Hospital. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist church, and loved animals, camping, gardening, writing, and music. Mary is survived by her daughters, Dee Cage of Napa, CA, Donna Duvall of Dixon, CA, and Dixie Seibert of Shelton, WA; brother, Steve Kuykendall of Tucson, AZ; sister, Anna Beth Dye of Hyland, CA; 9 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
