Dorothy Aneta Forde, age 79, of Bronx, NY passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011 in West Palm Beach, FL. Dorothy was born December 23, 1931 in Barbados, West Indies. She is the daughter of the late Albert and the late Evangelina (Taylor) Bannister. Dorothy loved life, singing, cooking, crossword puzzles and was extremely funny. She was a very hard worker and was motivated to have a better life for herself and her children. She is survived by her three daughters: Gloria Jemmott and husband Sinclair, Betty Forde and Glynis Forde; son: Ricardo Forde; sister: Sylvia King-Bannister; brother: George Bannister; grandchildren: Andrea Hedgeman, Michelle Jemmott and Matthew Forde; Great Grandchild: Tianna Hedgeman; nieces: Ann James, Tracy Olerhead and Tanya Bannister; nephew; Trevor Bannister. She was preceded in death by her husband Cornelius Forde; sons: Peter Forde and Richard Forde and sister: Elsie Reece. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24 at Akin-Davis Funeral Home, LaBelle, FL with Father Alan H. Kelmereit officiating. Interment will be in Ortona Cemetery Visitation will be Wednesday, August 24, 2011, 1 hour prior to service at Akin-Davis Funeral Home. .
