Loren B. Stone

None Loren B. Stone Jr, DPM May 3, 1937 – October 24, 2011 Loren was born in Seattle and lived there until the age of 14 when his family moved to Hood Canal. He graduated from Central Kitsap High School in 1955 and then served in the US Air Force stationed in Europe. Loren graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1972 and from that time on was a member of the both the American and Washington State Podiatric Medical Associations. He practiced Podiatry for 34 years in the Edmonds area and then continued for the last 5 years in Olympia. Loren is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sharon, daughter Suzanne (Kevin) Holden, granddaughters Ellie and Camryn; daughter-in-law Julie Stone, grandchildren Jakob and Megan; brother Terry (Jeri) Stone; and numerous nieces and nephews. Loren was preceded in death by son Matthew Stone, Barbara (sister) and Jim Gragg, and parents Loren, Sr. and Elizabeth Stone. Loren was devoted to his work, but mostly he was devoted to his family. Family times at Lake Chelan, as well as traveling and cruising with friends and family were his favorite pastimes. Loren will be missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Loren’s life will be held November 5, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the Jubilee Lodge, 8487 Bainbridge Loop NE, Lacey, WA 98516.
