Robert "Bob" Bruce Smith
November 10th, 1925 - March 8th, 2008
Born 11/10/1925 to Bruce & Nervie (Carter) Smith on a farm in Chanute, KS and passed away 3/8/2008 in University Place, WA. Bob graduated from Redmond HS in ‘42 and served as a B17 gunner during WWII. Later he retired from Kelley Clarke Food Brokerage in 1991. Bob enjoyed Hunting, fishing, skiing, golf, wood carving, yard work, traveling, and bridge. As an elder, he expressed his Christian faith in his church and through community service. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Bev; 7 children & step children, Rob (Liz) Smith/Satiacum, Steve (Shar) Smith, Tami (Robert) Andres, Mark Sandstrom, Scott (Mary) Sandstrom, Todd Sandstrom, Jill Diedrich; brother, Glen (Liz) Smith; 7 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Rachel, Skyler, Robert, Jillian, Jack, Jamie. Preceded in death by siblings Evelyn Skinner and Harold Smith. Memorial service to be held 1:00 PM Thursday, 3/13/2008 at Skyline Presbyterian, 6301 Westgate Blvd, Tacoma, WA 98406. Arrangements by Edwards Memorial Center 253-566-1008. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Skyline Presbyterian or Franciscan Foundation. Arrangements by Edwards Memorial Center 253-566-1008
