Jean C. Thomas

Jean C. Thomas, 88, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Thomas was born February 23, 1927 in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania to David J. and Jule (nee DeJohn) Mosmann and moved to this area in 1961. She was the beloved wife of the late Forrest M. Thomas, Jr. Jean taught her Primary Sunday School class for over 30 years, sang in the church choir, and served on various church committees. She also taught at Lake Aurora Christian Camp and was a member of First Christian Church. Jean loved her Lord and also her brothers and sisters in Christ and her family. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her! Jean is survived by her son, Daniel M. (Sandy) Thomas of Port Charlotte, FL; granddaughters, Serena Thomas of Port Charlotte, FL and Rhiannon (Adam) Cira of Minocqua, WI; great-granddaughters, Summer Rose and Paiten Hailey; brother, Kenneth A. (Angela) Mosmann of Essex, England; brother-in-law, Robert B. (Violet) Thomas of Moundsville, WV; and Mary Bassett of Graysville, OH. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest, in 2010. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Paul Schelm Funeral Home, 12687 SW County Road 769 (Kings Highway) in Lake Suzy.
