Frederick J. Came

Frederick J. Came, Jr., 81, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Came was born February 9, 1930 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Frederick J. and Mary Gertrude Cecelia (nee Lennon) Came and moved to this area 19 years ago from Ansonia, Connecticut. He was a graduate of Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, North Carolina. Mr. Came worked as a mechanical engineer for Farrell Corporation - USM and was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Army. He was also a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. Mr. Came is survived by his sons, Christopher J. Came of Port Charlotte, Patrick M. Came of Clewiston, FL, and Timothy J. Came of Port Charlotte; daughters, Sheila Came and Debora Came-Ahearn, both of Port Charlotte; grandchildren, MM1 James A. Ahearn, Brigid Came, Rachel Came, Sean Came, Lindsay Came Hudson; and great-grandchildren, Donatta Sawchuck and Emma Marie Rose Hudson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susanne in 2000, son, Frederick J. Came III in 1985, brother, Robert Came, and sister, Mary Came. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 1:00PM on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 21505 Augusta Avenue in Port Charlotte.
