Christine Houhoulis

Christine Houhoulis (née Erdenski), formerly of Cherry Hill, NJ, passed on from this world peacefully on April 23, 2016 in Punta Gorda, Fla. Chris was born at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, NJ on December 25, 1947 to Vitold Erdenski and Rose Glaze. She worked for many years in Cherry Hill at establishments such as the Latin Casino, and for 11 years, as the night cashier at Ponzio's Restaurant. Chris was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, godmother, and aunt, whose calming presence and peaceful demeanor brought love and light to all who knew her. Chris is survived by her husband of 43 years James, children Michael King (Jessica) and Nicholas Houhoulis, granddaughter Ariana Rose King, goddaughter Margaro Katsiotis, and numerous cousins and close friends. She was predeceased by her daughter Renee P. King, mother Rose Trainer (née Glaze), stepfather William Trainer, and cousin Anna Skordos. Friends are invited to meet the family at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, April 28 between 1 and 3 PM, with a memorial service at 3, followed by a reception shortly afterwards. In Christine's memory, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
