Christopher Robert Marshall

Christopher Robert Marshall passed peacefully from this earth to heaven on March 24, 2018. Chris fought a courageous battle against cancer, while maintaining his kindness, sharp humor and good nature, which his family and friends greatly admired. Chris was born on March 4, 1963 in Epping, Essex, England to Patricia and Robert Marshall. Chris emigrated with his parents and brother Kevin to the United States in 1963. The family initially settled in Chicago, IL. During Chris' childhood, the family relocated and lived in Mequon, WI, Clinton, IA and El Paso, TX. Chris graduated from Coronado High School in El Paso in 1981 and attended the University of Texas-El Paso. Chris married Cynthia Lee Cobb of El Paso on September 3, 1986. They met while both were employed at Walgreens. They have two children, Ryan and Erin. The family moved to Kent, WA in 1995 and they loved living in the area. While still in high school, Chris began working for Walgreens. Chris was employed by Walgreens for over 34 years, with 30 of those years serving as a store manager. Chris was one of the first store managers for Walgreens in the Seattle area, as the company expanded into the Pacific Northwest. After retiring from Walgreens, Chris started his own business repairing dental equipment. He excelled at it and greatly enjoyed interacting with dental practices throughout the Seattle area. Chris had a great love for his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He also loved his dogs, Dolce and Latte. Chris also enjoyed mechanical challenges and spent countless hours working on his cars and do it yourself projects. He was always generous with his time helping others. Chris is survived by Cindy, his loving wife of 31 years. He is also survived by his children, Ryan Marshall of Kent, WA and Erin Marshall of Fife, WA; Mother, Patricia Marshall of Las Cruces, NM; Sister Carolyn Gorman (Charlie) of Conroe, TX; Brothers, Kevin (Ruth) of Round Rock, TX, Brett of Los Angeles, CA; Bradley of Las Cruces, NM; and Robert (Stephanie) of El Paso, TX. Chris is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces, Kylie, Troy, Garrett, Ryan, Jacob, Haley, James, Hannah, Christopher, Samantha, Elizabeth, Raquel, Joshua, Christine, Jerry, Samantha, Alex, and Adam. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Robert Marshall. A family memorial service is scheduled to be held in El Paso during the month of May. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Regional Animal Services of King County.
