Patricia "Pearl" Eileen Earl

Patricia Eileen “Pearl” Earl passed away of cancer on June 9, 2019 in Olympia, Washington. She was born March 6, 1953 to Robert G. and Joan D. (O’Brien) Earl in Chicago, Illinois. Over the years, she also lived in Maywood, Brookfield and LaGrange, Illinois; and Tenino, Seatac, and Olympia, Washington. Patricia graduated from Lyons Township High School in LaGrange, and attended the College of Dupage, and later the Evergreen State College in Olympia. Professionally, she was a computer programmer for DSHS. She also worked at a call center and Hallmark. In her later years, Patricia was self-employed as a graphic web designer, as well as having a successful Etsy business utilizing her skills as a laser stencil/etching designer. Patricia loved to laugh, and was kind-hearted and generous. She was mischievous, funny, artistic, creative, brave, adventurous, and highly intelligent. She loved children, immersing herself in other cultures, telling stories, and practical jokes. Among her interests were writing, reading, painting, photography, knitting, science fiction books and movies, bicycling, traveling, and people-watching. She also enjoyed spending time volunteering at Senior Services for South Sound in the STARS and Trips Department. Patricia is survived by her brothers, Robert, Daniel, James, and Edward; sisters, Kathleen, Mary, Joan and Ellen; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, step nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and many, many friends around the world. She was predeceased by her parents, and brother, John. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 13, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at St. Benedict Episcopal Church, 910 Bowker St. SE, Lacey, WA 98503.
