Christian "Chris" Paul Mehl

Christian Paul “Chris” Mehl passed away on November 7, 2022, in Olympia, Washington. He was born in Yakima, Washington, to Myron and Emelie (Goodwin) Mehl on March 23, 1937. The family moved to Olympia in 1942, where Chris attended Lincoln School and graduated from Olympia High School in 1955. Chris then went on to attend Western Washington State College in Bellingham, Washington. Subsequently, he took a job in the Department of Natural Resources in Olympia and went on to work in Natural Resources until 1999, when he retired after 35 years of service. Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Myron and Emelie Mehl; sister, Martha J. Ichiyanagi; and brother, Thomas D. Mehl. Chris is survived by his sister, Deborah Abas of Lacey, Washington; niece, Miki Ichiyanagi of Vallejo, California; nephew, Dean Ichiyanagi of Venice, California; nephew, David Mehl of Burien, Washington; nephew, Andrew Mehl of Bothell, Washington; niece, Kristin Mehl of Shoreline, Washington; great-niece, Kanoa Ichiyanagi of Venice, California; and great-nephew, Harrison Edward Mehl of Bothell, Washington.
