Margaret Anne Sorensen

A lifelong resident of Olympia, Washington, Margaret Anne Sorensen was born April 7, 1946, to Joseph and Marjorie (Gruning) Bienick and passed away November 28, 2023, at the age of 77. She graduated from Rochester High School and studied at The Evergreen State College. Margaret married Don M. Sorensen on April 19, 1969, at St. Michael Catholic Church where she was a devoted parishioner. She always kept compassion in her mind and heart. She loved her family dearly and held fond memories of many family gatherings. Professionally, Margaret worked in childcare for the Thurston County Soccer Association, and sold Amway. She loved to read, watch movies and documentaries, do puzzles, and try new foods. She is survived by her son, Michael Sorensen of Rochester, Washington; daughters, Rita Mason of Olympia and Mary Sorensen of Las Vegas, Nevada; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and six sisters living in Washington, Linda Rham of Kent, Mary Oehlerich of Bellingham, Kathy Boyce of Wenatchee, Beth Strange of Olympia, Irene Koester of Olympia, and Teresa Bienick of Lacey. She was predeceased by her parents. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 12, 2024, 1:00 p.m. at South Sound Manor, 455 North St. SE, Tumwater, WA 98503.
