Joanne L. (Mather) Hopper Passed away February 10, 2021. She was born in Arkansas City, Kansas on January 30, 1929 to Fern L. (Glasscock) and Ralph S. Mather. A longtime resident of Tacoma & Puyallup, she graduated from PHS and Tacoma General Hospital School of Nursing. She spent some time as an Ensign (NC) USNR and married John E. Hopper, HM USN Retired and they were married for 52 years. Enjoyed family, friends, traveling, church activities including choirs and also the companionship of her pets, Doxies Buddy & Chewy. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sisters Jean Brantley & June Connell. She is survived by her sons James (Karen), John M. (Lacy), granddaughters Jenny, Angie & Kady, grandson Josh and great grandsons Gavin, Christian, Isaiah as well as many nieces and nephews. We are very thankful for our Christian family at FBC in Puyallup. Inurnment will be at Tahoma National Cemetery. In memory of Joanne, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
