Bernerd "Bernie" Elliott
October 18th, 1935 - January 19th, 2016
Bernie passed away January 19, 2016 in Vader, Washington. He was born October 18, 1935 to John Daniel and Susie Irene (Hembree) Elliott in Kelso, Washington. Over the years, he also lived in Oregon, California, Idaho, Wyoming and Colorado. Bernie served in the U.S. Army and married Betty Lindsey on November 3, 1957. He was a truck driver in the logging industry and a general jack-of-all-trades. Bernie had a great love for his family, and enjoyed leatherwork, riding mules, fishing and hunting. He had a lifetime membership to Disabled American Veterans. He is survived by his wife, Betty “Kim” Elliott; son, Rocky Elliott; daughter, Robin Jessup and spouse Lauren; six grandchildren, Brandon, Blayne, Kyle, Jeremy, Miranda and Casey; great granddaughter, Molly; and brother, Richard Elliott and wife Margo. He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Kathy Albright; and brother, John Elliott. Memorial donations may be made to Providence St. Peter Hospice Foundation, 413 Lilly Rd.
