Steven Marc Hall
July 17th, 1963 - February 5th, 2024
Steven Marc Hall, 60, passed away on February 5, 2024, in Venice, Florida. He was born on July 17, 1963, in Port Charlotte, Florida to Calvin and Karen (LeMunyon) Hall. He graduated from Charlotte High School, Punta Gorda in 1981. Steven joined the Navy in 1983, serving 21 years and retiring in 2004. Steven married his wife Diana Knoeller in 2003. During his meritorious service to the US Navy, he served on the USS Carter Hall LSD-50, USS Conolly DD-979, USS Yorktown CG-48, USS San Jacinto CG-56, in Yokosuka, Japan for two years on the USS Kitty Hawk CVN-63 and retiring on the USS Ronald Reagan CVN-76 as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. After retiring he, along with his father opened Sandlot Plumbing working until 2021 after succumbing to his disease. Steven was a music and football enthusiast. He was an excellent bowler and mostly enjoyed playing softball. While in the military many referred to Steve as ‘Gator’ for his love for the football team, ironic since his father was known as ‘Gator’ for his great love and passion for the Gators. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, and son-in law. Steve is predeceased by his parents, Calvin and Karen Hall. He is survived by his wife Diana, daughter Shelbi, and son Brice Hall. Also, by two stepchildren, Stephen Jordan (Sam) and Kaleigh Benardo (Dustin) along with six grandchildren. His sisters, Shellee Hall (Cindy Booher), Ashlee Donlan (Jack), niece Colbee Donlan and nephews Jake and Brady Donlan. In-laws Douglas and Carol Knoeller. A celebration of Steven’s life will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024, at 6:00PM at Freedom Bible Church, 5550 S Sumter Blvd, North Port, FL 34287. Interment at Sarasota National Cemetery with military honors will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 12:30PM. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration at www.theaftd.org.
