Louise Pierson Garland
June 7th, 1935 - October 30th, 2016
Louise Pierson Garland passed away, Sunday, October 30, 2016 after a period of declining health. Louise was born In Scott County, VA, to the late Kelly and Maude Pierson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Garland; two sisters, Ann Shively, and Gladys Berry. She is survived by sisters, Naomi McConnell, Ruby Mays, Nancy Odiorne and husband Dean, Marion Carney and husband Robert, and a brother, Bill Pierson and wife Linda. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Larry Shively; step-son, Michael G. Garland and wife Penny; three step-daughters, Phyllis and husband Martin Laws, Hope and husband Roger Banner, Holly and husband Claude Davis; step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, from 11:00-11:30am, at Carter Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will immediately follow at 11:30am. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport is serving the Garland family.
