Denise "Denny" Stanford
May 10th, 1949 - April 29th, 2020
Denise ""Denny"" Stanford passed away on April 29, 2020. She was born to Robert and Colleen Caleffe in Little Washington, Pennsylvania. She then moved with her family to Pompano Beach Florida. She graduated from Pompano Beach High School and worked for the Fort Lauderdale News. In her life Denise enjoyed boating, camping, bicycling, country western dancing, reading and yes partying with friends. She belonged to the Charlotte Country Music Club and Harbor Cove Civic Association. Denise is survived by her daughters Michelle Lail of Hickory, North Carolina and Dawn (Chris) Harrington of Tega Cay, South Carolina; mother Collen Caleffe of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida; sister Robin Caleffe of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida; brother Gary Caleffe of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida; step sons, Tim (Lissa Spalding) Stanford and Rev. Thomas (Nancy) Stanford of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; grandchildren, Gavin Smyre of Tega Cay, South Carolina and Shelby Lail of Newton, North Carolina. Denise was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 36 years, Tom Stanford. Interment will be at a later date at Sarasota National Cemetery.
