Carolyn I. Arnold Parvin

Carolyn I. (Arnold) Parvin, 81 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 18, 2023 at her home.She was born March 4, 1942 in Surgoinsville TN to the late Robert V. and Ida Louise Arnold. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, mamaw as well as a devout Christian. She enjoyed music and her children but, her greatest joy was spending time with her family especially her grand- children and great grand-children. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Charles “Buster” Parvin; daughter, Lisa Ann Deleon; sister, Barbara Arnold, brother, Rollin Arnold, sister, Joyce McClellan; brother Scotty Arnold. Left to cherish Carolyn’s memory are her daughter, Rachel “Terri” Mendenhall (Karl); sons, Charles Parvin (Dawn), and Christopher Parvin (Amy); grandchildren, Summer (Chanta) Mendenhall, Nikki Parvin (Justin), Andrea DeLeon, Kayla Mcdonald (Kevin), Brandi Parvin (Cameron), Charles “Jesse” Mendenhall (Maddelyn), Jacob Parvin, and Meagen Parvin; 10 great-grandchildren, Silas, Ava, Owen, Wrigley, Briar, Conor, Cullen, Audrina, Lily, and Winter; brothers, Brisco Arnold (Glenda) and Harry Arnold (Shirley); along with several special nieces, nephews and cousins. Receiving of family and friends will be Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport from 12pm to 2pm. A funeral service will follow with Rev. Jack Edwards officiating. A graveside service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Jesse Mendenhall, Jacob Parvin, Kevin McDonald, Justin Spear, Cole Grizzell, and Chase Rouse serving as pallbearers. Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport is serving the Parvin family.
