Nicholasville, KY John Tillman Collins II passed away on August 27th, 2017 in a tragic accident involving his aircraft. He leaves behind his loving wife Quenna Dolen Collins, daughters Victoria Brooke Collins McNeil (Cody) and Natalie Christian Collins, son Dalton McCade Tillman Collins, sisters Toni Dee Brewer (Mark) and Belmarie Riley (Robbie) and mother, Ruby Collins. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Tony Collins. John was born in Flint, Michigan but grew up in Powell County. He attended Eastern KY University where he was an active member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity chapter. He graduated from Morehead State University with a degree in general studies. John was a small business owner, the founder and president of Sign Depot. He was a member of Southland Christian Church and a man of faith. He loved his wife, children, family, and friends more than anything in this world and loved spending his time with them. He was a fan of classic rock and his hobbies included anything with a thrill: like being an avid soccer dad, collecting guns, boating, riding motorcycles, flying planes, getting creative in the kitchen, UK basketball, and sitting back to enjoy a cigar with his friends. John was the definition of a family man. He was helpful, kind, and always knew the right thing to say. He never met a stranger and made everyone who engaged in conversation with him feel like they had been a lifelong friend. He was a wonderful man who will be continually missed and loved by all. Funeral Information There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends from 5-7PM, Friday, September 1, 2017, with a Celebration of Johns Life at 7PM at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing.
