Ralph Cundiff, age 87, of Venice, FL, died on September 12, 2016. He was born in Midland, PA to Harry T. and Ethel Cundiff on July 19, 1929. Ralph was a Tool and Die maker and designer for the Signode Company in Glenview, IL for 36 years until his retirement in 1991. In 1997, he moved to Venice from Buffalo Grove, IL. Ralph was a member of the coin club and the computer club in Sarasota and Venice, and an active member of Christ United Methodist Church. He was a talented man who earned several patents for his designs. He had a gift to look at something and know how to make it more simply. Surviving family members include his wife of 60 years, Pamela; sons Steven Robert (Joanne) of Blaine , Minnesota, Timothy Thomas (Karen) of Darion, IL, and James Harry (Lori) of Western Springs IL; grandchildren Brianna, Marcus, Nicole, Daniel, Rachel, Kate, Michael, Abigail, Beatrice, Charlie, and David; and great grandchild John Connor McHugh (age 6 moths). Ralph was preceded in death by his daughter Jenny-Lou in 1979, his sister Barbara and brother Leroy. A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, September 18th at 2 PM at Christ United Methodist Church in Venice. Flowers would be treasured.
