Robert Vining Webber ""Rob"", 52 of Osprey, FL passed away unexpectedly September 4, 2016. Rob was born February 2, 1964 in Marblehead, MA to Sandra (Forbes) and Robert L. Webber. Rob served in the United States Air Force - Honorably Retired, MSgt 1983-2005. During the 22 years in the USAF, his Duty included and began with Lackland AFB TX -Basic Training, Carswell AFB TX, Florennes Air Base Belgium (twice), Travis AFB CA, MacDill AFB FL, Hanscom AFB MA, Anderson AFB, Guam, Vandenberg AFB, CA, Osan Air Base, South Korea, and Langley AFB VA. While serving, Rob's career was AGE (Aerospace Ground Equipment), working with flight line equipment with the exception of his Belgium deployment where he worked in missile systems /485th TMW. He crossed trained out after MacDill and into Civil Engineering. Rob was awarded the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal (GWOTSM). In retirement, Rob returned to school where he earned a degree in Computer Graphic Design. Being of Service was very important to him he participated directly in humanitarian efforts globally. Rob was an avid downhill skier; He enjoyed baseball and was in the midst of visiting every stadium in the nation; Rob enjoyed traveling the world. He was devoted to his family immediate & extended; he will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. Survivors include his mother, Sandra Forbes Webber, Nokomis FL; sister Heidi Ann Webber, Sarasota FL; brother Todd Otis Webber, Nokomis, FL; nephew Tyler Otis Webber and niece Sienna Lee Webber, Rhinelander WI; He leaves behind his best friend ""Apple"" his beloved Black Lab. Memorial Donations may be made to Humane Society Sarasota, 2331 15th Street Sarasota, FL 34237. A Memorial Service will be held September 28, 2016 11:00 AM, Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Venice Fl.
