Elmer John Rupp
May 13th, 1933 - August 3rd, 2021
Elmer J. Rupp was called home to heaven on Aug. 3, 2021 at the age of 88 years. He fought a long and courageous battle with chronic leukemia, Parkinson’s, dementia, 2 heart attacks, osteoarthritis and multiple knee surgeries. Elmer graduated from Ballard High School and attended Central Washington College. He married Darlene Thorland in 1966 and they lived in Edmonds for 54 years. He worked for the City of Edmonds and the PUD#1. He was an avid sports fan, loved driving cars and riding his bicycle, woodworking and country gospel music. He was also an active member of Edgewood Baptist Church and devoted to a ministry of visiting the sick. Elmer is survived by his wife, 4 children and 10 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Edgewood Baptist Church on August 21, 2021 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Edgewood Baptist Church or Evergreen Hospice, Kirkland, WA.
