Helen Lois Raftery

Helen lost her battle with M.S. but she did not let the disease interfere with living life to the fullest. She loved to be challenged whether it was beating her friends at poker, water skiing with family, go-cart racing or looking for that great find. She was a wonde mother and grandmother. She loved attending her childrens events and often brought neighbor kids along when there parents could not. She was loved by her family and many friends. Helen was born in Bellingham, WA. Helen is survived by her husband of 52 years, Merle; daughters: Patty Krie, Joan Rusch and husband Rick, and Kimberly Raftery, grandchildren: Ryan and Kolby Krie and Christie and Robbie Rusch, of Shoreline, WA; siblings: Richard and Janice Harrison, Roberta and Keith Rice and Greg Harrison and L.Z. She was preceded in death by her beloved son Mike.A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday March 31, at St. Mark Catholic Church, 18033 15th Pl. N. E., Shoreline; with Interment at HolyroodCemetery, 205 NE 205th St., Shoreline. A Recn will follow interment at St. Mark Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to The Humane Society.
